Miss Rhode Island USA Alysha Castonguay had posed topless for Maxim and other swimsuit calendars before she entered Miss Rhode Island USA beauty pageant. Castonguay showed her racy photos to Miss USA pageant officials. Castonguay did not hide her raunchy calendar past.

The beauty pageant authorities approved of her past nude or semi-nude pictures and Castonguay won the Miss Rhode Island title.

The press interviewed Miss Rhode Island Castonguay, who said she thought Miss California Carrie Prejean was being targeted because of her personal beliefs.
