Emily Cook is the new Miss Georgia after Kristina Higgins declined to accept the beauty queen crown. Higgins had her middle school teacher job commitments and her hands were tied.

Emily Cook is a graduate from the University of Miami. Cook has been accepted into the University of Georgia’s Law School. Cook will take time off to compete in Miss America beauty pageant in Jan 2010. Miss America will be held on Jan 30, in Las Vegas.
