Updated July 27 – Mischa Barton has left the hospital. Barton was said to have been released because she had to start the production of her scheduled show, “A Beautiful Life”.

Mischa Barton is rumored to be under suicide watch. Barton was said to be placed under involuntary psychiatric hold in a hospital in LA. The laws under Section 5150 said authorities are empowered to detain a patient involuntarily if they are at risk of hurting themselves or others, are seriously disabled or mentally ill.

On Wednesday, July 15, Barton called LAPD for help with a medical issue. Thereafter, Barton was sent to hospital.

Barton has missed attending the NY premiere of her new movie, “Homecoming”.

In 2008, Barton was charged with DUI and marijuana possession. Barton was sentenced to 36 months probation, ordered to attend alcohol education classes and fined a sum of money. Barton said she attended rehab to deal with her issues.

A fortnight ago, Barton had an incident in Whisky Mist, a club in London. Barton was stopped from going inside a toilet cubicle with her friend. Barton had to use a cubicle alone and appeared worn out after leaving the ladies toilet.
