Mindy McCready is fighting her ex boyfriend Billy McKnight for custody of her son, 3. In 2005, McCready had accused McKnight of attempting to kill her.

McKnight served 30 days jail time when McCready claimed he choked and assaulted her. The case was dismissed. Gayle, McCready’s mother, now has custody of Zander. McKnight, in Florida, has visiting rights. Mindy McCready has relocated to Florida to try to win back custody of Zander.
