Nina Lauren Nenitte De La Hoya, is 11 months old. Oscar Gabriel De La Hoya is 3. Oscar De la Hoya has 3 other older children. Jacob De La Hoya is 10 and ½ and his mother is Toni Alvarado. Devon De la Hoya is 10 and his mother is Angelique McQueen. Atiana Cecelia De La Hoya is 9 and ½ and her mother is Shanna Moakler.

On April 14, 2009, Oscar De La Hoya, 36, announced his retirement from boxing. De La Hoya said his motive for his retirement came from his realization that he could not compete at the highest level. De La Hoya said he felt it was not fair to his fans or himself, when he could not be at the high levels of competition. De La Hoya said it was a very tough decision to retire.
