Mike Sheehan, a TV news journalist, was arrested. Sheehan made breaking news and general news when he was arrested Monday night, March 30. Sheehan was arrested for a traffic offence. Sheehan drove into a NYPD horse. Sheehan refused to take a breathalyzer.

On Tuesday, Sheehan appeared in court to be arraigned. Sheehan was charged with endangerment and operating a vehicle while drunk and impaired.

Sheehan denied driving into the horse. Instead, Sheehan claimed the opposite had happened. The horse ran into Sheehan. Sheehan’s lawyer claimed the original police report did not state Sheehan showing signs of drinking.

Mike Sheehan (photo at link) is due to return to court on May 19.
