Michelle Simonson, 28, of Oxford Township, used to teach in a school in the Clarkston Schools district. Simonson is accused of sexting a 14 year old ex student. The Sheriff’s deputies claim Simonson did sexting with her former student at Sashabaw Middle School in Independence Township during the previous school year of 2008.

Simonson was formerly arraigned on Friday, August 14. Simonson resigned from her teaching post as a special education teacher on the same day.

The boy, 14, reportedly told social workers who then informed the authorities. The minor said he was uncomfortable with the racy messages and partially nude pictures Simonson sent him. Simonson allegedly sent text messages that were sexual in nature and partially naked photos.

The authorities told that the boy said there was no actual physical sexual contact between Simonson and himself.

Simonson will be having a trial to decide if she is guilty. If convicted, she faces a maximum of 4 years in prison. Simonson’s bond was set at $1500.
