Michelle Rhee has been nicknamed 100 mph because she made drastic changes in her first year as school superintendent of the District of Columbia.

Michelle Rhee has a plan to do a makeover for the poor performing DC public schools. Michelle Rhee wants students to pass and meet requirements for further education or employment. Rhee wants to pay good teachers better and fire bad teachers. Michelle Rhee did what others were afraid to do. She has closed 23 schools in her major shakeup of the nation’s lowest performing school district.
