Michael Williams: Dennis James Smith & Donna Kaye Hall Smith killed

Dennis James Smith, 41, and Donna Kaye Hall Smith, 39, of Brewton, were shot dead. Dennis James Smith & Kaye Hall Smith died at around 7 pm on Saturday, November 8. Smith & Smith lived in Owassa, a rural community, in southern Alabama.

Michael W. Williams, 28, was arrested and charged with the murders. Dennis James Smith & Kaye Hall Smith were at Michael Williams’ home watching an Alabama-LSU football game. An investigator said the dispute was over the football game, which saw Alabama win 27-21 in overtime play. Some witnesses said Dennis Smith, a fan of LSU, and Donna Smith went over to Williams’ house, where they then had a physical argument.
Dennis Smith had a pistol and Michael Williams had a shotgun. The deceased, Donna Smith, was a relative of Williams’girlfriend. Police said they will be looking at other possible motives.

    Smith & Smith lived in Appleton/Brewton. S&S were also Alabama fans. Only God knows what really happened.
