Michael Travesser is the cult leader of The Lord Our Righteousness Church in their compound called Strong City. This is near Des Moines, Colorado.

Wayne Bent, aka Michael Travesser, 67, was indicted in May 2008. Michael Travesser/ Wayne Bent was charged for two counts of second degree sexual contact with a minor.

Travesser/ Bent had two charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Travesser/ Bent’s trial will begin in October 20 2008. Sarah Montoya defends Michael Travesser.

Sarah Montoya said that Michael Travesser’s practice of lying with naked children is a “religious healing practice” and has no sexual connotations. Montaya tried to say that Travesser had no sexual contact with a minor.

Michael Travesser had admitted lying with the naked girls and touched them by putting his hand over the heart. His confession was written on the The Lord Our Righteousness Church website but the site was taken off-line.

The Lord Our Righteousness Church has the belief that they will ascend heaven while alive.
