Michael King & Denise Lee: Jury gives King death sentence (videos)

Updated September 4 – Michael King has been convicted guilty of the murder of Denise Amber Lee. The jury recommended that Michael King should be given the death sentence.

Updated Aug 26 2009 – Robert Salvador, Michael King’s friend, accompanied him to the Knights Trail Driving Range on the night Denise Amber Lee was murdered. King’s lawyer questioned Salvador by asking him if he pulled the trigger on Denise Lee. Salvador denied it.

Michael King is accused of raping and killing Denise Lee. There was DNA evidence that King left inside Denise Lee’s body. King’s lawyer disputes the charge that King fired the gun that murdered Denise Lee in January 2008.

Jane Kowalski, of Tampa, testified in court she saw Michael King driving his Camaro. There was a woman passenger shouting for help. The female passenger was identified as Denise Lee.

Denise Lee called 911, where Kathy Jackson received the call. The 911 tape was played in court. The jury heard Denise Lee asking for help in the recording. Lee also pleaded with King, saying she was married with two children.

Denise Lee’s widower, Nate Lee and Denise Lee’s father, Rick Goff, were present in court. The trial continues.

Michael King is accused of raping and killing Denise Amber Lee. King was advised of his rights after police questioned him and that has caused the biggest problem. Michael King’s cousin, Harold Muxlow, is a witness for the State.

Denise Amber Lee’s husband, Nathan Lee, her father Rick Goff, were present in the court room for the motion hearings.
