Michael Jackson hair: Michael Jackson hair made into diamonds
By Therese Lisieux on July 26th, 2009Michael Jackson lost some strands of hair when his crowning glory caught fire during the filming of an ad for Pepsi in 1984. Ralph Cohen, the executive producer, collected some charred remains of Jackson’s hair that had fallen on the ground.
Ralph Cohen had kept Jackson’s hair for 25 years, until he sold it in 2009. Cohen sold Jackson’s hair to John Reznikoff. Reznikoff will give the hair to LifeGem to turn them into diamonds. LifeGem will use carbon from Jackson’s hair to make diamonds.
Previously, a diamond made from Beethoven’s hair was sold for $200,000.
