Michael Handman: Michael Handman update

Michael Handman, a Jew, was beaten up by a fellow soldier. Handman required hospitalization to treat his injuries. Handman wrote a letter to tell his parents that he was harassed because he is a Jew. The Army investigated and admitted one drill sergeant told Handman to remove his yarmulke while he was eating in the dining hall. Another drill sergeant called him a “Juden”, which was a German word for a Jew. The army trainee who assaulted Michael Handman will never be named and he will have nonjudicial punishment. Jonathan Handman, Michael Handman’s father, said he was anry that the assault was not treated/ charged as a hate crime.

    Wish that soldier could go to jail. I mean common a Jewish soldier who is fighting for America, and then they beat him up because he’s a Jew ?! Have some respect !
