Michael Dupoy, 36, was sentenced to more than 19 years for child pornography. Dupoy, of Peoria, Illinois, was dealt with severely as he had an extensive criminal record. Dupoy posted comments encouraging fellow child porn collectors to share their knowledge of how to avoid getting caught for child pornography.

Dupoy’s lawyer tried to get some leniency for his client. Robert Alvarado argued that Dupoy did not molest a child and the sentencing guidelines would put him in prison for a longer time than what a child molester might receive.
