March 17 2011 – Diandra Douglas tells her side of the story on why she is asking Michael for more money.
Diandra Douglas denied she was being greedy as she continued to fight ofr more money from her ex-husband Michael Douglas. Diandra has been asking for money from the proceeds of Michael’s recent movie, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.
Diandra Douglas said she was on the phone talking to Michael, telling him she had tried to withdraw her petition, after she discovered he had stage 4 throat cancer. She blamed Michael for hanging up on her. She said she has asked herself if she should stop asking Michael for more money.
Diandra has a right to share profits from the film “Wall Street”, since it was in her divorce settlement with Michael, but she wants some of the profits from the sequel to Wall Street, as well. Diandra filed her lawsuit in June 2010.
Diandra said after she learned of Michael’s cancer, she wanted to adjourn the lawsuit, but his legal team wanted to proceed. However, since Michael’s cancer is now in remission, Diandra wants to continue with the lawsuit, at full steam ahead.
Diandra filed her lawsuit in New York, which was dismissed by a judge, who said she should file in California, as that was where the former couple had filed for divorce, some 11 years earlier.
Diandra has not met Michael’s new wife, Catherine Zeta Jones, but said she loves her and her two kids, Dylan, 10 years old, and Carys, 7 years old.
Diandra Douglas has twins born via a gestational carrier. She was engaged to Zach Hampton Bacon II, a hedge fund manager. They broke up before marrying and Diandra has shared custody of their twins.
Why does Diandra Douglas want more money?
Diandra believes she is entitled to share the sequel of “Wall Street”. She lost some money since her divorce from Michael and claims she needs money.
How did Diandra lose her money? She claimed she had a financial situation where she lost her cash. She didn’t say exactly how, but some speculated her marriage to Michael Klein in 2005 may have influenced her life. Diandra and Klein were married in 2005. He was an environmental activist and entrepreneur. Their marriage has ended.
Other factors were her business manager Kenneth Starr and Bernie Madoff. Starr and Madoff have been involved in bad investments which lost their clients’ money. So Diandra lost money through these people.
Diandra’s boyfriend is Paulo Oliveira. Diandra has adopted Imara, a 6 year old girl from Kazakh. Presently, Diandra has her twins and Imara. Her son with Michael, Cameron, is serving his jail sentence for drugs.
Sep 17 2010: Michael Douglas said his young son Dylan has special needs and that was the reason the family relocated from the Bermudas to New York. Dylan Douglas can attend a school that caters to special needs in NY.
Sep 2010: Michael Douglas has a tumor in his throat. Douglas has been seen by doctors, who have prescribed 8 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. Douglas is expected to make a good, full recovery after treatment.

Diandra Douglas has filed a lawsuit to ask for her share of money from her former husband’s new movie, “Wall Street 2”. Diandra claims that according to their divorce papers, she is entitled to a share in any spin-offs that Michael Douglas made or makes, derived from any movie made during their marriage.
Diandra, 52, is asking for 50% of whatever Michael, 62, makes for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”. Diandra allegedly received $45 million after her divorce from Michael in 2000.
Michael Douglas is going to fight Diandra’s claim in court. He insists Wall Street 2 is not a spinoff from the original and it is a sequel. Michael maintains a sequel is a different matter and thus Diandra does not have a share in it.
Diandra filed her lawsuit in New York, as Michael and his new wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones live in NY.
The judge has to decide if the courts should proceed in NY or in Santa Barbara, where Diandra and Michael got their divorce.

Douglas and Luker had one sole son, Cameron Douglas, who was born on December 13, 1978. Diandra Luker Douglas divorced Michael Douglas in 2000, after 23 years of marriage. Douglas and Luker Douglas separated in 1998, after years of alleged womanizing and alcohol abuse by Michael. Diandra Luker Douglas obtained $45 million in her divorce settlement.
Later in the same year, on November 18, 2000, Michael Douglas married Catherine Zeta Jones. Zeta-Jones shares the same birthday as her husband, 25 years apart. Douglas was 56 when he married Zeta-Jones, 31 years old.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones have two children, Dylan Michael Douglas, who was born on August 8, 2000, and Carys Zeta Douglas, who was born on April 20, 2003.
