Michael Bandy, a Kentucky country radio DJ, has died. Bandy was the co-host of “Bandy and Bailey in the Morning” on Lexington’s WLXX, 92.9 The Bear, has died. Michael Bandy died from an illness his family refused to reveal. Bandy was 37 when he died on Sat., Dec. 20.

Michael Bandy had fought a long time with his illness. Bandy passed away in the hospice unit of St. Joseph Hospital. Bandy last went on air about one month ago in November. Jason Bailey and “Deidre” continued “Bandy and Bailey in the Morning.”The original show has been running since 1994.

Michael Bendy left behind his mother, stepmother and stepsister.

    no family member ever refused to reveal the cause of death, no family member was ever asked by any news media.

    Michael died of liver and kidney failure.

    Bandy will be missed greatly and hope for the best for the family and friends. My prayers to his mother and Jason. I LOVED HIM! he brought the joy and life to the party.May his love and joy live on. sorry about the liver and kidney failure.
