Message for all women – First size 16 finalist for Miss England 2008

Chloe Marshall, 16, was 5ft 10in, a size 16 and 38DD bust. She wore the UK size 16 and entered into the Miss Surrey beauty pageant contest. Surprise! She won. She will compete as a finalist for Miss England 2008. The other 7 conestants for Miss Surrey were tall, skinny and probably all wore size zeroes.
Chloe said she competed to prove that she could break the stereotype belief that only those who conformed to the common perception of beauty could win at beauty pageants. She had become the first size 16 contestant to compete for the Miss England crown. Other big sized beauties have won pageants before but she was the first to qualify for the prestigious Miss England finalist contest.
Congratulations to Chloe Marshall, Miss Surry 2008.

Leah Green, who is size 12, was rejected by a modeling agency. Leah Green was determined to model and prove her point. She eventually won the Miss London beauty pageant.
Miss England will be on July 18 at the Troxy, in Stepney, London.
