Melissa Todorovic, 17, was convicted and sentenced for killing Stefanie Rengel, 14. Todorovic was sentenced in Toronto, Canada, to life in prison. Todorovic has to serve at least 7 years before she can apply for parole. Todorovic was sentenced as an adult.

Stefanie Rengel was stabbed and left for dead on January 1 2008. The assailant was a person who was only identified as DB. The person cannot be identified fully and only initials were used to name the accused. DB pleaded guilty to the first degree murder charge in court in 2009. DB is waiting for sentencing at a later date.
