Melissa Sekulski, 30, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested and charged for killing her son, Jaquan Porter, 10, on Fri., Dec. 26. Sekulski told police she beat Porter. Porter hit his head on a wall and became unconscious. Sekulski called an ambulance.

Jaquan Porter was sent to hospital but he died of his brain injuries. Sekulski was charged with first degree manslaughter. When police visited Sekulski’s apartment, they found Melissa Sekulski’s apartment in squalor, with insects crawling all over.
