Melissa Bell, aka Melissa C Bell Westway, 39, a former meteorologist at WBZ-TV, was arrested and charged for DUI. Bell was arrested after she was seen speeding and weaving in traffic at 1:35 am Friday, Feb 20.

The police officer said Bell was unsteady on her feet, could not recite the alphabet past “B” and registered .18 on the breathalyzer test. That was 2 times the legal limit for Brighton. Trooper Paul Conneely reported Bell’s language was brutal during her arrest. Bell was arrested and expected back in court on April 6. Bell’s lawyer released a statement to express her sorrow and regret at the incident. Bell did freelance work at Fox TV but Fox had no comment.
