Melba Moore, the R & B singer, had a near death experience from complications after her abortion. Moore said she aborted her baby from Clifton Davis, the actor. Moore and Davis dated in the 1970s.

Moore had a tube inserted into her uterus after her abortion. This ruptured her appendix and Moore had a serious bout of illness. Moore said she was so sickly she felt she was almost going to die.

Moore said she experienced many changes and yet, she was at a crossroads in her life.

Moore shifted back home to her Mom’s place and discovered her parents had split. Moore’s mother was sick. Moore overcame all her challenges and she experienced her kind of epiphany when she realized she was given another chance at life.

Moore has a new record deal with Shanachie Records. Moore will be singing duets with Phil Perry.

Clifton Duncan Davis is an actor. Davis’ credits include “A World Apart”, “That’s My Mama”, “Amen”, and many other shows. Davis has worked as an actor, songwriter, church minister and social worker in various organizations. Clifton Davis was born on Oct 4, 1945 and is 63 years old now.

Melba Moore was married to Charles Huggins for 15 years from 1976 – 1991. Their marriage failed to work out because of some financial matters. Moore was left destitute after her divorce. She has worked her way up again.
