Melanie Mayron, who acted in the movie, “You Light Up My Life”, said she was flabbergasted to learn that Joseph Brooks, her former director for her movie, was charged for rape and other sex crimes. Mayron described Brooks as a lovely man. Mayron said she did not stay in touch with Brooks after the movie was made.
