Mel Gibson has many homes. One of them was at Agoura Hills, near Malibu. It was undergoing heavy construction work. One builder, aged 48, hanged himself there. The foreman found the body.

Nobody from Mel Gibson’s family was present at the house since they were living elsewhere. Police said the body had rigor mortis and was probably dead from the night before, ie Tuesday night, Mar.18, 2008. It was unclear if Mel had met the man before. Celebrities generally do not mingle with the builders.
