McCain wins debate: Ads on “McCain Wins Debate” before happening

By Clarencia Cynrae on September 27th, 2008

The Presidential Debate is scheduled for Friday night. By Friday morning, ads paid for by McCain-Palin announced “McCain Wins Debate.” Who is responsible for this gaffe? Someone inside the “McCain Wins Debate” publicity team? The people who accepted the ads did not stop the “McCain Wins Debate” ads even when they knew the debate has not happened yet. Why? Who is scheming to derail the Republicans? Should I assume the ad publishers were unaware of the time of the Presidential Debate?

McCain Wins Debate ad:

McCain Wins Debate

It is not that I disbelieve the probability of McCain winning but this gaffe is totally uncalled for and unfair. In the first place, the McCain camp should not have handed over the “McCain Wins Debate” ad to the publishers. Maybe the lower level McCain aides did not know that the debate did not take place yet.

  1. RogerF Says:

You suppose they have another ad all mocked up to go out tomorrow morning that reads McCain Loses Debate?

    Naw, probably not.

That ad might be placed by the Obama campaign team. :)
