John McCain wants to make it up to David Letterman. McCain had bailed out of Letterman’s show on Sept. 24. McCain told Letterman he was rushing to leave for Washington to battle the economy crisis. Letterman’s studio jacked the live feed from neighboring Katie Couric’s news program and showed McCain about to go on air. The credibility of McCain fell. Letterman used that incident as his talking point for many days and is still using it now.

McCain has re-scheduled with Letterman and CBS. McCain will guest in Letterman’s show on Thursday, Oct 16. That is one day after the third and last presidential debate at Hofstra University on Long Island, NY.
