Mayra Lizbeth Rosales, 27, was charged on one count of first-degree murder and on one count of injury to a child in the death of Eliseo Gonzalez Jr, 2. Eliseo Gonzalez Jr died after being struck on his head at least twice in Hidalgo, Texas.

Mayra Lizbeth Rosales weighed nearly half a tone and is bedridden. Jaime Rosales, Eliseo Gonzalez Jr’s mother, was charged with injury to a child because she left him alone with his aunt. Jaime Rosales’ bond was set at $100,000 and Mayra Lizbeth Rosales’ bond was $150,000. Hidalgo County District Attorney Rene Guerra and Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino said Mayra Lizbeth Rosales would be held but they have to work out the problems like getting her out of the house, whose doorway was not sufficient for her to pass through. Mayra Lizbeth Rosales needs extensive medical care and it was impossible to detain her in Hidalgo County Jail.
