Maurice Jarre, a French composer, has died. Jarre was an Oscar award winner. Jarre wrote the world famous lyrics and music for movies like “Doctor Zhivago” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. Jarre passed away in L.A. Jarre was 84 when he died.

Jarre has worked with many renowned directors. President Sarkozy paid tribute to a great Frenchman by acknowledging his death. Jarre died during the past weekend. The French radio station in France paid tribute to Jarre by playing his songs.
