The Nebraska family missing for a fortnight was not found. The Nebraska family that went missing consisted of Matthew Schade, Rowena Schade and their children, who were Sean Schade, 8 and Devon Schade, 11 years old. The Schade family lived in Creighton, Neb.

The Nebraska family car was located on Tuesday, March 31, in Silver City, South Dakota. It was believed the Schade family went camping in Black Hills, in South Dakota.

South Dakota experienced two bad blizzards during the last 2 weeks. The Schade family was last seen around March 20. Some people were worried about them camping outdoors in bad weather.

Matthew Schade’s father told authorities he called him up Thursday, April 2. Matthew Schade said they were fine. Schade told his dad the family would wait out the next storm that was expected to blow through Black Hills.

Matthew Schade, 26, was on probation in Nebraska after a burglary incident. Rowena Schade, 29, was on her own probation for an unspecified reason. The search continued in a scaled down way.
