Matt Lauer had a first marriage to Nancy Alspaugh, which ended in divorce. Matt Lauer’s second marriage almost ended in a divorce too but he reconciled with Annette Roque. Meredith Vieira, Lauer’s co-host on the Today Show, had a slip of footing when she asked Lauer how old he was when he got married. Vieira then caught herself and realised she asked an awkward question.

Lauer handled it very well. Lauer was well oiled and he went on to give the expert finding that said the ideal age for women to get married was 26 while the ideal age for men to get married was 28. Vieira was the one who was embarrassed. It looked like she could not get over it.

At the last count, Matt Lauer was still married to Annette Roque and they have 3 children.
