Updated Dec 20 – A Youtube video poster claimed the attack on Silvio Berlusconi was faked. The poster claimed there was very little blood on Berlusconi’s face after the attack. Berlusconi was reported to have lost 1 pint of blood but his suit was clean and not blood stained. The poster suggested the attack was fake to earn some sympathy for Berlusconi. Indeed, polls suggested Berlusconi gained popularity n the polls and he stands at 66% now.

Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian PM, was assaulted during an autograph signing session. Silvio Berlusconi, 73, was punched by a man.

Massimo Tartaglia was accused of assaulting Silvio Berlusconi. Tartaglia had pushed his way past security and approached Berlusconi. It was suspected Tartaglia used a souvenir miniature building of a famous landmark.

Tartaglia was arrested and led away by police. He had no criminal record prior to this. His only offences were minor driving offences. Tartaglia was said to have been a mental patient for over a decade.

Silvio Berlusconi suffered some cuts on his face. He was defiant and got out of his car to show the crowd that he was not badly injured.

Silvio Berlusconi had one loose tooth and one fractured tooth. Berlusconi had a split lip and was bleeding. He was warded in hospital overnight for observation although he insisted he was fine.
