Maryss Courchinoux, 29, is a dancer from Paris. Maryss Courchinoux was chosen as a backup dancer for Michael Jackson’s concerts in London. Courchinoux had been measured and fitted for her costume. Courchinoux was invited to a rehearsal on Thursday, June 25, to meet Jackson. Courchinoux work on Thursday was to watch the rehearsal to prepare fro her dance role in the show. Thursday was the fateful day Jackson died.

Courchinoux said she had auditioned for her role in April, 2009. Courchinoux had danced a set routine, freestyle dances, and hip-hop “pop-ins”. Jackson watched her and applauded her performance. Courchinoux did not get to see Jackson rehearse his dancing. Ken Ehrlich did and said Jackson danced the way he did years ago.
