James A. Prevatt III, 26, is holed up in America’s Best Value Inn on U.S. 522 in Hancock, Maryland. James A. Prevatt has a prisoner, a woman, 21, suspected to be James A. Prevatt’s girlfriend, 8 months pregnant.

James A. Prevatt threatened to kill the woman and anyone else. James A. Prevatt warned that he is armed. Police negotiators are in talks. James A. Prevatt is a wanted man because of theft charges in a few states. James A. Prevatt refused to surrender and come out of the room because he would be arrested.
