Martin Luther King III and Bernice King claimed that their lawsuit against their brother, Dexter King, was necessary. They wanted to preserve the Martin Luther King legacy.

The kings’ llawsuit claimed that Dexter King removed money from the estate of their late mother, Coretta Scott King. Dexter King is accused of mishandling the funds of King Inc., the estate of Martin Luther King Jr. Dexter King is in charge of King Inc. because he is the president and CEO of King Inc.
