By Therese Lisieux on February 9th, 2009Marilyn Feng and Dennie Loffredo, both 26, were struck down by a motorist (car driver), Martin Abreu, 25. Abreu was an off duty cop who drank and drove. Police refused to comment on whether the couple had the right of way while walking on the road.
Abreu was driving his Toyota Camry southbound on West at 3:40 am Saturday Feb 7. Abreu hit Feng and Loffredo. Loffredo and Feng were walking home after a night of Tango dancing. Feng died on the spot. Loffredo is in hospital, recovering from leg injuries.
Abreu has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and DWI. Abreu was suspended from police duties.
Feng immigrated to the US from China. Feng was a law student and was supposed to take her bar exam in the summer of 2009.

Yo see this is why i hate the news they always twist the stories he wasnt driving a motorcycle so he aint a motorist and this happened at 3:40 am Saturday February 7 2009 not february 8

DOESNT MATTER..point is a girl is dead bc he was drinking and driving and he hit her while she is crossing the street…maybe if he wasnt drinking and driving, this never would of happened. when you drink your reaction time is delayed…ridiculous
