Marilyn Gambrell: Marilyn Gambrell story (photo)

By Therese Lisieux on March 6th, 2009

Marilyn Gambrell, bless her heart, is a parole officer who went the extra mile, not only to make a difference but to save lives. Gambrell started a program called “No More Victims” at MB Smiley High School in Houston, Texas.

Gambrell’s program has been credited with helping the children of imprisoned parents. Hundreds of children have benefited from Gambrell’s mentoring. The children changed their lives and stayed in school to graduate.

Jami Gertz, an actress, starred in the Lifetime Moment of Truth Movie called “Fighting the Odds: The Marilyn Gambrell Story”.
