Maria Menounos lost her bet and had to pay the forfeit. Menounos had betted that her favorite team, the New England Patriots, would win the Super Bowl 2012. Since the New York Giants won instead, Menounos honored her bet by disrobing in public, at the Times Square. It was cold and Menounos braved it. She shed her layers of clothes to show a bikini clad body.
Tim Tebow slighted Katy Perry, but complimented Menounos by paying attention to her instead. Katy Perry, newly divorced, was aware that there were rumors about her parents trying to fix her up with Tim Tebow. Why Tebow and not some other guy? According to popular claims, Katy’s parents favor Tebow for his strong, religious background.
Katy herself played up this rumor, by giving a couple of shout outs to Tebow. The first time was when she called out to Tebow, seated in the audience, during the event. Katy Perry was a presenter of an award to Cam Newton, the quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. Katy focused her attention on Tebow, but used her parents as an excuse, to convey a message that they said Hi to him.
Tebow chose to remain unmoved. Tebow is 24, Perry is 27, and Menounos is 33. Tebow did not mind the age difference. He was friendly with Menounos. They took photos together. Tebow spent around one hour chatting with the host of Extra. It seemed their friendly relationship was off to a good start.

On Sat night, Feb 4, 2012, Katy Perry dedicated one of her songs, Peacock, to Tim Tebow. The lyrics were suggestive and her message to Tebow did not leave much to imagination.
