Vibe magazine published Dominguez’s half naked photo in their Nov. 26 issue of Vibe. Dominguez and two women were mermaids with topless breasts in the photo captioned, “Mermaids Gone Wild.” Maria Dominguez took offence that her picture was published without her consent. Dominguez sued Vibe magazine and Sean Combs for $3 million. The judge in Manhattan, New York City, said the photo was newsworthy and of public interest and Dominguez had no right to privacy because she had exposed herself in the first place. Dominguez is a hedge fund money manager. Dominguez will not give it up. Her lawyer said Dominguez was considering other options.
