Margaret Rudin, a socialite from Las Vegas, was formerly convicted of killing her rich husband. Rudin will get a new trial. Margaret Rudin was previously convicted of murder using a deadly weapon.

Rudin was convicted of killing her husband using a deadly weapon in 2001.Margaret Rudin was sentenced to life in prison. Rudin’s sentence allows the possibility of parole after 20 years.

District Judge Sally Loehrer ruled that Rudin’s attorneys were not equipped or prepared to defend her at the trial. Rudin’s husband was found in 1995. He was in the desert about 45 miles from Las Vegas. Prosecutors suspected Rudin killed her husband to get a 60% share of his fortune.
