Marcus Blanton, 24, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was arrested on murder and related charges. Blanton used his semiautomatic gun to fire on several people near the bathrooms of Club 418. Blanton allegedly shot 5 people and stabbed 1 person.

A wounded male victim, 23, died in hospital. The other victims had non life threatening injuries. Police recovered two guns at the scene. Police did not know of Blanton’s motives. Club 418 said they would review their safety procedures.
