Marcos Chavez Gonzalez, 29, is a wanted suspect in the shooting deaths of 4 men. The victims were fatally shot in the car park lot in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Mount Airy is about 50 miles north of Winston-Salem.

Police have a warrant of arrest for Marcos Gonzalez. Gonzalez may have driven away in a pick up truck. The authorities said the residents had no reason to fear as this wasn’t a random shooting.

Names of the victims were released as:
Victor Alfonso Martinez-Jimenez, 22; Javier Manuel Martinez, 21; Juan Manuel Martinez, 26; and Marcos Oviedo Aguliar, 21.

An uncle of the three related dead victims said the shooter was upset over a problem with a woman.

The suspected shooter was Marcos Chavez Gonzalez, a boyfriend of a woman, whose son was killed in the shooting. The woman’s daughter’s boyfriend was also killed. The woman’s daughter is Michelle Oviedo, 21. Ms Oviedo said her boyfriend Javier Manuel Martinez and her brother Marcos Oviedo Aguliar were dead when she arrived at the scene.

Marcos Chavez Gonzalez was convicted of a kidnapping charge in 2002. Gonzalez served 2 years in prison and was released. He failed to report regularly to his probation officer.

Police are investigating the murders and the motive for the killings.
