A woman, 43, had an avatar in Maple Story. Her Maple Story virtual world avatar was suddenly divorced from her virtual husband, 33. This lady, a piano teacher from Kyushu province in southern Japan, was very angry.

She hacked into the Maple Story profile of her virtual husband using his password. She deleted his Maple Story character which he had painstakingly created and maintained for 1 year. She has been arrested but not formally charged.
