Malaysia’s The New Straits Times reported that a woman has sued her husband for $3 million ringgit (500,000 British pounds) for taking her virginity and refusing to marry her in a Chinese customary marriage rites. Her in-laws were named in her suit because she claimed that they influenced her husband to divorce her. She said she suffered stress, humiliation and mental torture. Her lawyer, Ernest Chua, will act on her behalf to appeal for the marriage to be declared null and void.
