KTLK radio talk hosts, Chris Baker and Langdon Perry, accused Magic Johnson of faking AIDS. KTLK, the Minneapolis radio station, apologized and said it would air public service announcements on HIV/AIDS. Langdon Perry said that he thought Magic Johnson faked having AIDS. Chris Baker then agreed with him, on air, that Magic Johnson faked having AIDS.

This exchange came after Perry Langdon had the opinion that a sick person could live a long time with some basic drugs. Then, he contradicted himself by hinting a person with AIDS may not possibly live a long time and the illness was faked. Magic Johnson was diagnosed with HIV in 1991 and he retired from professional basketball in NBA at the age of 32.
