I feel sad for Ms. Primoff and I hope her daughters are feeling the right kind of aftershock. Their mother is paying dearly for her reactions to their bad behavior. Children/teens want control so much, yet they don’t seem to realize that they are in complete control of their own actions. Either girl could have postponed their part of the arguement. Either girl could have backed down or lowered their voices or better yet, I wonder if either of the teens asked Mom how she was or how her day was! It’s very difficult to keep your wits about you when two people you love dearly are at each other’s throats just behind your head and your main job is suppose to be safely transporting them to whatever soccer/cheerleading/dance/etc activity they need to attend. I hope the girls get a grip too. Too damn much about Mom – she’s just human. I put my son(16 then) out of the car once for the way he was screaming at me while I was driving. This was in a harsher place than White Plains, NY and I did not drive off. Instead I got out for a personal timeout too. Time out is not a punishment – it is time for re-grouping and considering what is really going on plus what the consequences may be of your own actions. Thank God I did not drive off. Course the punk made me pay for it and refused to get back in the car, took 45 minutes out of our day to settle down and added a lot more to the arguement. What seemed like a great way to make my point blew up in my face. I seemed to have forgotten who was really in charge!
GOD. Good luck Mom Primoff, they will make it and so will you. My blessings – the punk will be 36 and his sister 31 this year and I’m not sure how that happened. Yet I had no qualms about taking on the fulltime care for my grand-daughter when it was needed. She too is a blessing.
