Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme has been in prison for about 30 years. Fromme was convicted for an assassination attempt on a former US president, the late Gerald Ford. Ford died 3 years ago. Fromme was Charles Manson’s follower. Fromme will be released from prison on parole, on August 16. Fromme is now 60.

Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme slipped out of prison in one of the cars that streamed past the prison gates. Before and after her paroled release, Fromme had declined all requests for interviews.

Fromme’s relatives have also refused to talk to the media.

Prison officers refused to say where Fromme was heading for her new life. Fromme still has relatives in California and she may be living with them as she was known to have respect for her mother and siblings.

Fromme is on parole for 2 years. During this time, Fromme is required to obey all laws, refrain from owning firearms and be a good citizen.

    It’s time to release all those women associated with Manson. They have been good prisoners.

    One is extremely ill. California is a pitiful state and the govenor is even more pitiful. He is only afraid of what the people will say and is not his own man any more.

    California will soon reach the point of diminishing return on these prisoners.

    California has a high recidivism rate BUT such a low return rate for people in their category.

    ’smatter with you guys out there. Just because your govenor is weak, you guys stand up to him and speak your mind. //Joe??

    I’m very happy Lynette (SQUEEKY) Fromme is released
    she could have left a few yrs. ago. All she did was to try & save the Redwoods, now there protected. Well Susan (SADIE) Atkins is dead, which I think It was an outrage not to let her out for her last weeks
    to spend with her family. Susan,Leslie,& Patricia are the longest people in HISTORY to be in Prison,
    look at all the murders & Rapests. There out in 10-20 yrs. Just because of the name of Manson Family there screwed. If they were BLACK they’d be out yrs. ago.
