Lucas Vinson, 27, of Louisiana, has died. Vinson was working as a contractor in Tikrit, Iraq. Vinson was fatally shot on a US base in Tikrit. A US soldier shot Vinson and he has been detained.

Lucas Vinson died on Sunday, September 13, at Camp Speicher, in Tikrit, Iraq. Vinson was employed by KBR, a contractor who provided the US Army with services dealing in meals, housing, mail delivery and laundry.

KBR is based in Houston and they have refused to comment further on the shooting death of Lucas Vinson.
