Lt. Robert Ryan Jr, of the FDNY, was killed in a house fire at Staten Island on Sunday morning, Nov. 23. A ceiling collapsed and knocked off his protective face mask. Robert Ryan was found unconscious when his colleagues found him and rescued him. Robert Ryan died at a hospital. Mayor Bloomberg has requested for prayers for Ryan’s family. Robert Ryan left behind a wife, two children and two stepchildren.
