Lou Lumenick hit Roger Ebert

By Therese Lisieux on September 12th, 2008

New York Post film critic Lou Lumenick turned around and whacked Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert with a festival binder file. The sound was so loud that everyone in the darkened theater turned to see the commotion.

Lou Lumenick seemed to be surprised to know that he had actually hit a famous film critic. Roger Ebert lost his voice after suffering from thyroid and salivary gland cancer for the past few years. Ebert had tapped Lumenick on his shoulder to try to tell him to move over a bit. As he couldn’t speak, he used a hand gesture which was felt as rude by Lumenick.

  1. Movie Fan Says:

Lou Lumenick is a total dick. Consideration for others is not shone by many in theaters today but to out-right hit someone… even if it had not been a famous someone, is going way too far.
