Lord Hanuman
Hindu devotees prayed to the Hindu deity, Lord Hanuman, to help Barack Obama. This is a coincidence that the monkey symbol has been again associated with Obama.
The previous link was when a private website sold Sock Obama, a sock doll that bore the name of Obama. The sock was fashioned in the style of a monkey with some human traits. The post is here.
