Long Xiaowei, an engineer from China, was a captive of Taliban in Pakistan, was released into freedom. Long Xiaowei had been kidnapped and held for 6 months.

The Press do not know what happened to secure Long Xiaowei’s freedom. The Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is due to visit China. There is an unconfirmed report that Pakistan agreed to use/ impose Islamic law in the Swat Valley and this encouraged the Pakistani Taleban in the Swat Valley to release Long Xiaowei.
